SIG-5600 – 4-Port I/O Gateway

SIG-5600 is an industrial remote I/O gateway equipped with 4 analog inputs, 4 digital inputs and 4 relay outputs. It lets you monitor sensors and control equipment remotely via Modbus/TCP (from PLC/HMI/SCADA or Modbus apps such as ModMap). Alongside Ethernet, it supports wireless connectivity via a USB Wi-Fi adapter for deployments where cabling is difficult.

Key features of the SIG-5600

  • Per-channel selectable analog measurement modes (voltage or current) so one device works with many sensor types.
  • Digital inputs support wet/dry contact wiring and include a counter function (useful for pulses/events).
  • Relay outputs support NO/NC and can be driven as ON/OFF or timed pulse via Modbus/TCP requests.
  • Supports up to 4 simultaneous TCP connections for parallel monitoring/control from multiple clients.
  • “Internet Switch” master mode + 1-bit ADC trigger function for distributed trigger/control scenarios without an HMI.
  • Ethernet connectivity with optional Wi-Fi via USB WLAN adapter (ideal where cabling is impractical).

Remote monitoring & control via Modbus/TCP

SIG-5600 exposes its I/O through Modbus/TCP, making it easy to integrate into existing industrial stacks. Monitor analog values, read digital states/counters, and switch relay outputs from PLCs, HMIs, SCADA software or Modbus tools.

  • Use one gateway for mixed sensors: voltage sensors, 4–20mA transmitters, and contact inputs.
  • Pulse output mode is ideal for resets, momentary triggers, and timed activations.

Internet Switch for distributed trigger/control

The Internet Switch concept lets devices interconnect so inputs on one device can drive outputs on another—useful for distributed sites and “if-this-then-that” control without adding an HMI at every location.

  • Use 1-bit ADC mode for threshold-style triggers from analog sensors.
  • Great for alarm-driven switching, remote interlocks, and distributed automation.
