CSE-H55N2 is an industrial RS422/RS485 to Ethernet converter designed for reliable serial networking in noisy environments. It supports IPv4 and IPv6 dual stack, offers strong security options (SSL, MAC/IP filtering), and is built for harsh conditions with an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. The RS422/RS485 interface uses a terminal block and is designed to improve stability against noise and electrical damage.

Serial tunneling over TCP/IP (TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, AT Command)

CSE-H55N2 converts RS422/RS485 serial data to TCP/UDP packets (and vice versa), enabling long-distance monitoring and control over LAN or the Internet. Choose TCP Server for passive listening, TCP Client for active outbound connections, UDP for connectionless block transfer, or AT Command mode for flexible connection control.

  • Supports baud rates from 300 bps up to 230,400 bps (RS422/RS485).
  • “Multiple Connection” is available on firmware v2.3A or later (useful for multi-monitoring scenarios).
  • Includes TELNET COM Port Control (RFC2217) option in TCP Server/Client mode.

CSE-H55N2 is an upgraded design focused on stability for RS422/RS485 lines. It includes built-in biasing resistors and TVS protection on the serial interface, plus input-side protection circuits to help withstand industrial power and wiring conditions.

Separator (packet framing) & Virtual COM port (ezVSP)

Many serial protocols are message-based rather than continuous streams. The separator feature helps group incoming serial bytes into meaningful packets before sending them over the network. For Windows applications that expect a local COM port, the ezVSP driver creates a Virtual COM port connected to the device over Ethernet.
