CIE-H12G – Remote I/O Controller (Modbus/TCP + Web)

CIE-H12G is a compact Ethernet Remote I/O controller for monitoring ON/OFF signals and controlling a relay output over the network. It supports Modbus/TCP, HTTP (web control), and Macro mode for simple autonomous logic, making it ideal for remote monitoring, power control, and distributed “Internet Switch” style installations.

Key features

  • Monitor ON/OFF status via two opto-isolated inputs (dry contact + wet contact, up to 24VDC).

Networking, compatibility & control methods

CIE-H12G fits easily into SCADA / HMI / PLC environments thanks to Modbus/TCP and a standard Ethernet interface. For quick commissioning or simple remote operation, you can also control and monitor I/O through HTTP (web page) without writing software. Security options include IP/MAC filtering and a configuration password.

Key technologies

  • Embedded web server: access the device from any browser; the web page can be replaced with a custom UI.
  • Pulse control: the relay output can be switched ON/OFF or driven as a timed pulse (via Modbus/HTTP features).
  • Macro mode (stand-alone logic): simple Boolean expressions can control the output automatically.
  • Internet Switch concept: combine multiple controllers so inputs on one device can control outputs on another.

  • Default IP address: 10.1.0.1
  • HTTP port: 80 (open in browser: http://10.1.0.1)
  • Modbus/TCP port: 502 (typical Slave + Passive connection)
Dry contact input
Non-voltage contact input. ON when short circuit, OFF when open circuit. Opto-isolated for safer signal monitoring.
Wet contact input
Voltage input (opto-isolated). ON over 4.5VDC, OFF under 1.2VDC. Maximum input voltage: 24VDC.
Relay output (NO)
One NO relay output for switching loads remotely. Rated up to 5A @ 28VDC (resistive). Pulse operation supported.
Modbus/TCP integration
Map I/O into PLC/SCADA/HMI using Modbus/TCP. Supports Slave/Master modes and multiple connection options.
Web control (HTTP)
Built-in web server for easy control and monitoring from any PC or smartphone browser. The web page can be customized.
Automation & security
Macro mode enables simple autonomous logic. Security features include IP/MAC filtering and password-protected configuration.
