CIE-H14G – 4-Port Remote I/O Controller (Modbus/TCP + Web + RS-232)

CIE-H14G is a remote I/O gateway with 4 digital inputs and 4 relay outputs for monitoring ON/OFF signals and switching loads over Ethernet. It supports Modbus/TCP and browser-based control (embedded web server), plus Macro logic for simple autonomous operation. The RS-232 port enables Serial↔Ethernet conversion while still serving I/O functions.

4× Digital Inputs
Opto-isolated (WET contact), max 24VDC
4× Relay Outputs
ON/OFF + pulse control
Modbus/TCP + Web
SCADA/HMI/PLC + browser control
Wide Power Input
DC 8.5–38V (terminal block)

Key features

  • 4 opto-isolated digital inputs for monitoring equipment/sensor ON/OFF states (up to 24VDC).
  • 4 relay outputs for remote switching (supports ON/OFF and timed pulse output).
  • Control and monitoring via Modbus/TCP or the embedded web server (HTTP).
  • Custom web page upload: replace the default page with your own UI.
  • Macro mode enables simple autonomous logic without a PLC.
  • “Internet Switch” concept: multiple units can interconnect so inputs on one device control outputs on another.

Remote monitoring & control (Modbus/TCP + HTTP)

Use CIE-H14G with standard Modbus/TCP clients (SCADA, HMI, PLC, software tools) or operate it directly from a web browser. The embedded web interface is ideal for quick testing, service access, and simple remote control scenarios.

  • Supports up to 8 TCP connections simultaneously (depending on configuration).
  • Outputs can be controlled as ON/OFF or pulse (timed activation).
  • Optional dry contact adapter available (for switch/relay-type inputs).

Autonomous logic & Internet Switch

Macro mode allows each output to be driven by a simple logic formula (Boolean AND/OR/NOT) based on input states. For distributed applications, multiple CIE devices can be linked into an “Internet Switch” system so that inputs on one device control outputs on another device over the network.

  • Practical for stand-alone automation when you don’t want to add a PLC.
  • Build remote “if-this-then-that” control across sites/devices.

RS-232 serial-to-Ethernet conversion (in parallel with I/O)

The RS-232 port lets you connect legacy serial equipment to TCP/IP networks. You can use common conversion modes (e.g., TCP Server/Client, UDP, AT command style control) while still using Modbus/TCP or Web control for I/O.

  • Useful for mixed projects: remote I/O + serial device connectivity in one box.
  • Supports Serialized Modbus/TCP mode when you want to pass Modbus/TCP via the serial port.
RS-232
4 opto-isolated inputs
Monitor ON/OFF signals safely via photocouplers. Optional dry-contact adapter available for switch/relay style signals.
4 relay outputs (pulse-capable)
Switch loads remotely with ON/OFF commands or timed pulses—great for resets, triggers, and momentary actions.
Modbus/TCP integration
Fits into PLC/SCADA/HMI systems using a standard industrial protocol. Supports multiple connection options.
Web control (HTTP)
Control and monitor from any browser (PC/smartphone). You can replace the default page with a custom UI.
Macro logic automation
Build simple Boolean logic to drive outputs automatically—ideal for local rules without additional controllers.
RS-232 + wide power input
Add serial device connectivity (Serial↔Ethernet) and power it from DC 8.5–38V via a convenient terminal block.
